SSJT and I said we would have one challenge that would be a pain in your arses. So have fun with this nugget of joy. :)
The Challenge: Have your team continuously post on this thread, with a team member posting every hour.
The Catch: No one person can post twice in a row for their team.
If, by noon Monday, no team has won, the time increment will be decreased to a half hour. If no one team has won by noon Tuesday, it will again be cut in half to 15 minutes, and so and so forth.
We will be checking IPs... so don't give your acct. login/pass to others so they can cover. We will reference your posting IP to those you have posted with in the past, that way IP changes due to posting at work or a friend's place or something will not be a problem.
Edited posts are invalid. Only the time stamp of the original post is used.
The challenge starts at 1 PM EST... which is in a precious few minutes.

I'm goin' to Seattle baby!
oo - you're a quick one.. just remember - that doesn't count... it has to be 1 PM EST on the board's time stamp... which is in about 5 minutes now.

It does not start until 1PM
Hell, I had already posted and deleted an entry.
This should do it. I am going to work out.
Quote:Our offensive line was so good that even our backs couldn't get through it.
Not totally sure what this challenge is for... but I guess I'm supposed to post.
Good thing we have tomorrow off!

Well... since only myself (Linux) posted successfully in the 4-5pm hour....doesn't that give us the victory?
Just curious

What the hell is going on? I'm gonna read the instructions again.
I'm pretty sure that no one won. Rick and I posted during the 1-2 est time period, but no one posted during the 2-3 est period.
I might not be able to help much in this challenge. The power doesn't seem to wanna stay on for more than five minutes at a time.

it's a conspiracy
Me and nate are gonna have a little chat. ::pops knuckles and rolls up sleeves::
I'm posting...I'm posting....is it time yet? Better yet, am I even still in this friggin' game?
In case management only counts the post of the first team member each hour. . .
TAG! You're it.
post,,,,,,need another Window team member to post during the 9pm hour
btw, where is the adjustment for the unequal teams?
Jeremy needs to settle this

just in time
team linux wins
1 PM - 2 PM: Windows, Linux
2 PM - 3 PM: Nobody (therefore no winner)
3 PM - 4 PM: Nobody (therefore no winner)
4 PM - 5 PM: Windows, Linux (still no winner)
5 PM - 6 PM: Linux -- WINNER
Since Windows failed to post between 5 and 6 PM, Linux wins.
rickheel Wrote:btw, where is the adjustment for the unequal teams?
there was none, as there will be realignment after this.
I will apologize for not making it as clear as possible... but I think most people got what I meant. It was to outlast the other team in continuous posting. Linux succeeded when Windows did not, therefore Linux won.
Team Windows votes offs are due by 7 PM EST Monday
We rock! . . . I think.

Horseshit, nobody got what you meant.
The challenge should have ended when both teams failed to post between the 2-3 and 3-4 time slots...

Can someone make an image for "WORST CHALLENGE EVER"?
I had no idea what we were supposed to do... and I wasn't the only one.
I asked some non-bias people to come in and give their opinion, and upon review the challenge will be a tie because I did not say what would happen in the event that both teams did not post. Under the rules I set forth, this would mean the game would end when one or both teams failed to post.
