CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Blackhawks appeared to be in control before Brett Hull took over and sparked the Detroit Red Wings to a stunning victory.
Hull's second goal of the third period tied it with 37 seconds left, and then he made a great pass to Jason Woolley for the winning goal in overtime Sunday night as the Red Wings rallied for a 4-3 victory.
''We didn't quit when it was 3-1 and it paid off,'' Hull said. ''We were doing a lot of good things and just kept with it.''
Hull forced overtime when he took a pass from Nicklas Lidstrom and shoved it past Chicago goalie Jocelyn Thibault.
In overtime, he moved the puck across the ice to a streaking Woolley, who beat Thibault and ended Chicago's eight-game unbeaten string.
''I have a thing on a two-on-one, that the goalie will look for me to shoot because he thinks I'm a shooter. Jason got open and I got it over to him,'' Hull said.
''I thought I had everything covered, but it was a perfect play,'' Thibault said
