Quote:Orlando's Grant Hill out again
Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Magic forward Grant Hill was ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets, the sixth straight game he's missed with chronic tendinitis in his left ankle.

Hill has had three operations on the ankle since breaking it in 2000 with the Detroit Pistons. He already had missed 10 of Orlando's 36 games this season before Wednesday, while playing 10 minutes or less in three others.

"Going through what I've gone through, I realize there are going to be some bumps in the road. I've kind of anticipated it and tried to prepare for it," Hill said after Wednesday morning's practice. "But nothing quite prepares you for it."

In 26 games, Hill is averaging 15.6 points on 49.5 percent shooting, with 7.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists. The last time he saw action was Dec. 27, playing just four minutes in a loss at Memphis.

During the layoff, Hill's ankle has been tested by doctors, and he has tried out new shoe inserts designed to relieve the stress on the injured tendon.

Going into Wednesday, Hill had played in 44 of the Magic's 200 regular-season games since signing with Orlando as a free agent in August 2000.

Am I the only one who thinks that perhaps Grant should retire before his ankle problems get any worse? He could have a stellar coaching career...
Of all the dookies down throught the years, he is my second favorite. Class Act without all the typical NBA bs. I hope they can figure out a solution to get him back on the court. BTW, Mark Crow is my fav.
"Time to say goodbye,
Paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te
adesso si li vivro,
Time to say goodbye,
su navi per mari
che io lo so
no, no non esistono piu
con te io li vivro"

Hang em up, Grant, and go out on a high note.
