And it gets Spurrier off the hot seat.....for now anyway.
Did you see the look on Spurrier's face as he was running across mid-field to shake Herman Edward's hand? You could almost read the feeling of relief on his face. One win will not take the pressure off, though.

Boy, the Jets are in trouble without Pennington. The Deadskins played pretty well though, especially Pat Ramsey.

that was a terrible game. I appreciate low scoring games, if they're defensive battles, but this one wasn't. It was low scoring because both teams are terrible.
As for Patrick ramsey, he was awesome in the first half. In the second half it seemed like the jets and their crappy secondary, figured him out.
Vinny Testaverde sucks! It's amazing how jessie Armstead, over the past 3 years, has totally lost his skills.

Laveranues is the Messiah.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!
Even though the front 4 is probably the worst in the league the linebackers and secondary may be good enough to make up for it and the skins will have a decent defense.
Patrick Ramsey was a god in the first half, hes got a good head on his shoulders.
Also, I was very impressed with Ladell Betts Candidate on the other hand was definitely subpar.
I hated Spurrier at Florida but if he get my skins back to the promised land i will love him.
*sigh* I hate how opening day victories make me think my team is unstobable. :(

you're right, coles is the man.
There's one problem with not having a good d-line, the defense revolves around it. If i learned anything from the super bowl last year, it's that the defense line makes the defense. Football games are won in the trenches! The key to winning is, be able to run the ball on offense and stop the run on defense. If you can't do that, you're screwed.
