that's the stupidest thing i ever heard. Shockey had a good game. He didn't drop any passes, as opposed to last year. Also, he was much improved with his blocking.
On one play he was wide open in front of the endzone, but Collins, who was running backwards, didn't put enough power on the ball.
All of Shockey's catches were third down conversions, which was very important.
Also, you might be forgetting that the Giants have more people to throw to this year, there's only one ball!
Shockey did pretty much the same thing in the first game last year.

Nothing against Shockey, but to me he's not even the best young TE in the NFL. I think Todd Heap is a little better.

Last season he had 6 touchdowns to Shockeys 2. Yes Shockey had a few more yards and receptions but Heaps ability to get the ball in the endzone makes him better IMO. Also in the opening game this season Heap had 6 catches for 55 yards and a 2 point conversion to Shockeys 36 yards. Heap is the go to guy on the Ravens and Shockey is probably the second guy in the Giants offense, Toomer is better. We'll see who has better numbers at the end of the season.

i totally see where you're coming from, but who else is there to throw to on the Ravens. I understand that a go-to guy is better than the second guy, but if toomer were on the Ravens heap would be second like shockey. In other words, it's not shockey's fault taht his team has more weapons.

Vick threw 16 TD's last year and was voted to start for the NFC in the Pro Bowl. (Granted he didn't deserve it IMO. And I'm a huge Falcons and Vick fan)

Good point. But Kerry Collins is far superior to Jeff Blake and Chris Redman IMO. Those are the guys that were Baltimore's QB's last year.

Do you guys honestly believe that Heap is better than Shockey, or are you just copying what some sports writer said? Because i just recognized that a few days ago, a writer stated that same case. We all know the writers say stuff like that because they hate Shockey (or at least that's what i think).
I said it cause Im a ravens fan and I hate Shockey. :laugh:
No. I honestly think Heap is better. IMO Shockey will be better in the long run, but for now I'd take Heap.

i only said "good enough for me" because they actually gave evidence as to why they thought heap is better than shockey. In the barry Bonds thread nobody gave any real evidence besides that you hated him. When i asked for reasons in this thread, i got them. When i asked for reasons in the Bonds one, everybody started acting stupid and claiming they didn't have to give a reason.
