The AL playoffs are set.
Here are the matchups....
Minnesota vs. New York
Yankees get home field in games 1, 2 and 5.
Boston vs. Oakland
A's get home field in games 1, 2 and 5.
I picked the Twins to win it all in the preseason but I'm going to have to change my pick. The Yankees defeat the Twinkies in the first round then knock off Oakland in the ALCS.
What do y'all think?
i'm going with the twins, i'm not sure why, but i think the yankees are done going to the WS, for at least a couple of years. All i know is that if my Giants make the Ws, i wouldn't want to play the Twins because the metrodome is a big home field advantage.

No question. When the Braves played the Twins in the WS in '91, the noise was deafining.
the sound is a huge factor, but also it's really hard to catch pop-ups in that roof. in addition, the Giants would be a terrible turf team.
Yeah, it's hard to see the ball with the white ceiling.
I put the red sox, because they have such a great lineup and the most dominating pitcher, in pedro. Right now Im seeing the classic red sox cubs matchup in the ws.

I like the Twins they are the hotest team in baseball right now. I think the Yankees just have too many issues, the A's are gonna miss Mulder too much and the Redsox bullpen is horrible. The twins have a great bullpen and their team is as healthy has they have been all year.
