Considering all positions, who is the best player at his position in the NFL? I think you have to go with Derrick Brooks with the lack of versatile OLB's in the NFL. Brooks can cover and tackle and constantly makes big plays.
im going to go with Ricky Williams, the running back i think is the most skilled player on the field, and since ricky is the best running back in the league, I have to go with him
Ricky Williams is not even universally accepted as the NFL's best running back, while there is no question Derrick Brooks is the NFL's best OLB.

I think Ray Lewis would have a thing to say about that, as would Brian Urlacher.
In any case my pick would be Jonathan Ogden or maybe Sam Adams.

Sam Adams as the best DT? Maybe, it's hard to pick amongst the DT's because they do a lot of things that don't show up in the stats.

Priest holmes is the best RB. he can run as well as Williams plus he can catch passes.
Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher are ILB not OLB. I'm just syaing that Brooks dominates his decision more than any other player in football.
Boy, that's a good question. It's just hard to compare players from different positions.
Dante Hall is sure making me think twice about it. He has to be the MVP so far.
Daunte Hall is having an MVP type season so far, but how can a player who spends about 1/60th of the game on the field be considered the best player in the NFL
Not many players sore a touhdown in every game either...
Very true. Not only does he score, he changes the game. Even when he doesn't score, he still gives them the ball at the 40.
Besides, who else is the MVP so far?

Hall gets my vote.
Peyton Manning has been outstanding thus far. You gotta throw him out there as far as MVP candidates.
so far its hall, but realistically he wont keep this up the entire year, Manning, S. Davis, Holmes, and even Randy Moss are candidates also
I'm voting for Stephen Davis. This guy can run the ball consistantly for the 1st Down, and catch those quick swing passes on the rush. He's an all around versatile player.
stephen davis has had a great year, but the bucs are the only decent rushing defense he has faced, now its hall, at the end of the year it will be his teammate Priest Holmes
for mvp so far this year, im going to have to go with manning, hes been unstoppable so far
excellent matchup this weekend between davis and manning, I like the Colts, but Edgerrin will have to do something this weekend or manning will be a sitting duck

OVER-RATED! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP-CLAP!

btw, I think Priest Holmes is the best overall player in the NFL (and I am not a chiefs fan, either)

yea, Priest holmes is amazing!

I used to think Manning was overrated, but he's starting to play really well, now that James is coming back to form.
yea but without a good runingback payton manning and the colts dont have much of a shot, ricky williams with 60 odd yards is not enough of a ground game to defeat the panthers
Stephen Davis neutralized, Mr. McNair is now the clear front runner for MVP.
Got to go with Priest Holmes, but McNair is right there too.
Brett Farve on offense and Ray Lewis on defense
Favre? no way. Through midseason, its gotta be Stephen Davis. It is now clear he is carrying Carolina.

stephen davis is the best overall player?
for MVP
Offense: Terrell Owens--he's the most athletic player, he's fast, but not only that, he's strong and big
Defense: Ray Lewis
Maybe not Favre... I'll give Davis the nod, just because he's good and I despise the Redskins so much. Carolina has one of the best offseason acquisitions because of him.
Randy FREAKIN moss. :D :D :D

umm...no 03-razz
if he would stay motivated he would be. can i say chad pennington? 03-wink
The Deuce is loose
No one imposes his will on a game more than Ray Lewis does, so I will have to go with him.

No other player comes close.
best player overall? Offense-Culpepper...........Defense-Roy Williams.......

I agree that Ray Lewis has established himself as the best player in the game this year. They are not in the playoff race without him.

Culpepper has had a few bad games, he isnt even the best QB let alone the best player.
offense-Moss, Portis, McNair
Defense-ray Lewis
Lewis is good at murder too
SouthLink02 Wrote:Lewis is good at murder too
good at getting away with murder.....
i think manning over mcnair
SouthLink02 Wrote:Lewis is good at murder too
Never been proved. You can't knock him for it.
Defense-Ray Lewis
Offense-Donovan McNabb
