I think this series will go to the wire with Chicago ending their WS drought.
Both clubs have decent pitching but I believe Chicago will provide more stick.
CUBS WIN!! CUBS WIN!! CUBS WIN!!

Sorry, I know we still have work to do, but this is the farthest we've been in my time as a Cubs fan, and basically 95 years. I love it.
I'm obviously picking the Cubs in this Chi-Fl series!! Go Cubbies!
Hey GDawgs, sorry about your Braves, but how 'bout my boys in blue right now? Looks like Dusty was the answer, huh? We shall see. Kerry Wood looked awesome tonight, as usual, and I'm not complaining but that should've been a shut-out tonight. The umps blew Lofton's catch, but oh well!!! Gonzalez, Alou, and Co. took care of business tonight!!
Time to go fishing for some Marlin! :D
I picked the Cubs but this thing will go 7 games and it wouldnt suprise me at all if the fish came out on top. The Cubs have great pitching with Wood Prior and Zambrano. I believe that the Marlins have a much greater offense but Prior and Wood should be able to keep them in check. The fish dont have any pitchers that scare hitters the way Wood and Prior do.
But I still wouldnt count them out...the way they beat the Giants they look like they are a special team. Pudge is looking like an MVP and Juan Pierre is the best leadoff hitter in the game. Also they have Jeff Conine and special things seem to happen when he is on the Marlins. This team just seems to be incredibly clutch and I wouldnt be against them.

i agree. There seems to be something special about the Marlins and how they win ball games.
It should be an awesome series. Also, it's going to be very low scoring.
I think the Cubs pitching will be too much for the Marlins, Cubs in six. Wouldn't a Red Sox- Cubs World Series be interesting.
There has been a lot of bahing of experts on this site, but Gammons made a good point. The Marlins after Pierre and Castillo have a heavy right handed hitting lineup. The Cubs Clement, Wood, Prior, and Zambrono all have nasty stuff to right handers. Advantage Cubs.

Thanks. Your guys are looking good. They beat the Marlins in 6 IMO.
Fish take Game One 9-8. A wild game to say the least.
Cubs will take Game 2, the pitching last night was not worthy of NLCS.
Prior might throw a shutout tonight. I just have a feeling.
through three innings, Penny has been SHELLED!
Cubbies win 12-3. Series tied at 1.
The Cubs will win because the Marlins have the Atalnta Braves affliction...very impatience at the plate. The Cubs pitching staff will wear out the Marlin's batters by having them constantly striking out on bad pitches.
NuWave? Where ya been?
