Even in a "down" year (you know what I mean) the Tar Heels take the Carlyle Cup and maintain the second slot in the race for the Sears Cup. BTW, the Cup score should read 31-17 after the sweep of the dookies in baseball this past weekend.
What a rout. Now all we need to do is keep everything else up, and work on our basketball teams....

Who cares about the Carlyle Cup? It doesn't count for anything. There's no rankings involved, no NCAA records. The whole concept was put together by a bunch of rich Carolina alumni to try to build up the morale in Chapel Hill while things are going down the tube in Basketball. I remember a short while back when Carolina was constantly getting their butts kicked in football that their fans would remind everyone that basketball was the only sport that counted in the ACC. How things change! The whole Carlyle cup thing blew up in their faces last year. Duke wasn't supposed to win the first one, that wasn't what they had planned. Good luck with your women's field hockey teams and men's synchronized swimming and all your other insignificant sports. Duke knows where to drive the blade home where it hurts the most! Go Duke!
Oh my, my bitterness detector is off the scale! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
