Either Clemson is a better team than people think and better than it's been in a while or FSU has lost it's strong hold on the ACC and isn't as good as it's been in the past. Which is it?

prediction threads...I have always predicted
Clemson to tie with NC State for 2nd in the
League. All this foolishness about Clemson
being 4th or 5th was garbage. Any team with the
speed that Clemson, HAS ALWAYS HAD, will always
be tough.
Florida State isn't in decline, but the ENTIRE
league is on the rise! That's why 6 bowl teams
last year...7 with winning records...currently the
best OOC won-lost record of the 6 BCS leagues
in games against each other.
The days of the Florida State routs everytime out
are over...but that doesn't mean that Florida
State will stop winning. It means, if they don't
come to play they can be beat. Because everyone
else has gotten better.

Good post. My hope is that the ACC as a whole will start to gain some respect. I'm tired of hearing how FSU rules the ACC and everybody is medicore at best. The ACC teams ARE getting better and it showed, if you looked hard enough, last year. The problem with last year was that we kept beating each other.
Clemson, GT, and NCState are much better teams and deserve the respect of the rest of the college nation.
I will however say that this years FSU does not have the type of team it's had in the pre-2001 seasons. FSU can no longer go into a game vs. a good (not great opponent) and expect a win.

I agree, our conference as a whole is striving to compete and be better football teams. The ACC looks pretty strong and has been on the rise for the past years. I know for a fact that almost every team has stepped it up a notch or two and it really shows on the feild.
