I have a PII with only about 400mghz, but it usually gets the job done.

I'm currently using AOL, but I'm trying to use a different service. The problem is that when I try to open IE there's an 'invalid page fault' warning and it shuts it down.

I was told this could be a problem with not being enough RAM, but I wanted to know if it could be anything else like software. I've already attempted to re-install IE.

If it is a RAM problem, would clearing the junk on my hard drive help?

Thanks.
Options:

1) Delete unused files. Defragment hard drive. Try using Mozilla Firefox as well.

2) If Option 1 fails, and you don't want a new computer, dish $40 for a stick of RAM. RAM for that old beast is cheap.

3) Ya know you can get a complete eMachines system for $450.. ? Celeron D 2.6 Ghz ...
Mozilla Firefox is much better than IE on an old computer.
