Edmonton goalie Trevor Koenig scores goal in ECHL game

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CP) - Trevor Koenig of the ECHL Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies has joined the elite list of pro hockey goalies to score.
The 30-year-old from Edmonton was trying to clear the puck when it carried into Wheeling's empty net with 41 seconds remaining Wednesday night in a 4-1 victory over the Nailers.
Koenig is the third ECHL goaltender in the last three seasons to accomplish the feat. Eight ECHL goalies have scored over the history of the league.
Koenig is 8-3-1 with the Bullies since his acquisition from San Diego on Feb. 4. He has started 11 out of the last 12 games for Atlantic City and has posted a 2.46 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.
The seven-year veteran is 18-9-3 for the season with a 2.65 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.
