ESTERO (Ft Myers), Fla. – Leon Hayward scored a goal and had two assists and Andrew Allen made 21 saves to help the Trenton Titans capture the Kelly Cup Championship with a 4-1 win over the Florida Everblades in front of a record standing-room-only crowd of 7,805 on Wednesday.
Hayward was named Most Valuable Player after scoring six points (3g-3a) in the finals and 11 points (6g-5a) in the playoffs.
The Florida Everblades, the first team to make it to two straight Kelly Cup series in over 10 years, choked early in the series and didn't have enough to come back - similar to last years cup series against Idaho.
