Paul Hewitt keeps running his racist mouth, and the refs are giving Gtech everything.. I dont understand this, all those offensive rebounds, all the and ones, everytime we look at Dickey or Smith wrong in the paint we get called for a foul.. Its rediculas, even the announcers just said Dickey Travels most of the time int he paint and gets away with it.. But if we do we get called instantly. Bash me if you want, im just stating the facts!!

The facts are that if you don't rebound the ball, you will lose the game. If you jump when a player fakes, you will be called for a foul. I will agree that they started calling a tighter game ever since they started a fight. We didn't do anything, neither did Tech. The refs rushed in there and pushed players into each other though.
Or maybe it's the fact that Georgia Tech has made us their b!tch in the second half by grabbing nearly EVERY rebound and loose ball and hitting their free throws. You think?

To be perfectly honest ... I was watching GT-UGA 1999 on tape. Completely forgot about the game tonight. I'll trade you a win today for 14 points in Athens on Saturday

I do not know what you call it but if you tell a black player that he should not be coached by a white coach then race is a factor and if use you race as a factor that is racism. A white coach would be fired in a second if he told a white player that they should only be coached by a white coach. As far as the officials, sure GT got away with a number of things. But they adjusted to the way the game was called and played harder. I did get upset on a few plays where there was an out of bounds play without a basket being scored and the GT player was allowed to move along the baseline.
No I will not STFU.. And yes, I was referring to the TY recruiting incident. You know he had a huge role in heping TY's father make that decision. But Hewitt was crying so bad even when his team was getting all the calls. Sure they fouled us alot, but not on plays that mattered.. Its amazing how foul trouble can weaken a team, when it comes to getting boards.
Alot of our fouls were little touch fouls, and post up fouls, We had to actually almost get knocked over to get ours. If anyone recorded the game go back to the part where Hewitt started talking to the ref during that time out, from that point on we went to hell. If you do not believe me go back and watch it, if you recorded it.
Now for you to refer to classy fans, I am as classy as it gets, im always curtious to everyone, I always show my respect to the team and to other members of this board. But when I see a coach talking to the ref for the entire Media Timeout, instead of his team, I know somethings not right. There was a huge difference in the way it was called int he first half and in the 2nd half. Once we get into foul trouble, notice the offensive boards they get, I remember in one possesion we fouled them 3 times, and two of them were BullSh*t Fouls.
This is just what the Media and all those experts wanted to see, congrats to them, we gave them what they wanted. But I hope they're not suprised when we grow more as a team, and show up dancing strait into the final four.

Just in reference of your foul stuff, don't say refs lost us the game. We were up by 19 and got way out rebounded. The refs didn't blow the game, that is a cop out. We blew the game. Life goes on. Yes you have a point that TY's father is racist, but I doubt Hewitt talked his father into it.
Well I wasn't there so I cant say that Hewitt did or didnt. But im a realist and being the realist that I am, I beleive Hewitt had a little bit more to do with it then you think. ANd as stated in an earlier post, it just seemed like the refs started calling the game in a way that GTech could win. In the first half they were calling it more loose, in a way both teams could just get out and play. It just seemed to me that they started calling it perfectly for Gtech's style of basketball. It may just be me and a few others, but if you didn't notice the change then your blind.
Its amazing all of then offensive rebounds, for putpacks, that turned into 3 point plays at big moments. I hope everyone on here isn't just playing the "Oh we lost, the refs had nothing to do with it, to just say it. Because it makes no sense. When you change your style of officiating, when it obvously benefits another teams style, its not right.

Exactly! No, I don't think Hewitt used race as one of his sales pitches to come to tech. He may have, we'll never know, but I don't think he did.

If you blame the refs for our losses, then credit them for our wins.

The refs had nothing to do with our loss last night.
Being out of position to block people off the offensive glass will cause any team problems.
We blew the 2nd half because our bigs never boxed their men off when GT shot the ball, plain and simple.
We correct the rebounding mistakes against Kentucky, we'll win by 15 or 20 points!
