If you are the number 5 team, you don't rush the field and tear down goal posts for anyone. Unless you win the NC. Actually, unless it were us in their position and we beat UAB. Ha ha
I'd ease off of 'em..

They've come a long way, and could very well be playing for the national championship.

Ha ha!
I wish the Tigers were gay this year, because that would mean we were going undefeated and possibly playing in a BCS title game. It must really suck to have a homofied program such as Louisville this year 01-wingedeagle
So is this post.

Louisville has EARNED their spot.
The team is fine but why is it that y'all were all "don't rush the field if we beat TN?" Wouldn't that have been a big win? Not a bigger win, but a more unexpected win.

We already had two losses and UT had one when we met. Why rush the field then?

Because they were ranked quite high and we hadn't even shown anything good yet???

Yeah good point. I stated I wanted to rush the field and everyone on here was like no, we are better than that.

That whole act like we've been there crap doesn't cut it either. The program has been there, 10 years ago. As far as us, we haven't. It isn't a sacred thing to everyone from 1996, but something that should continue. IMO

You act like you speak from experience.

At least you can still brag about being the last team to beat us at home. That is your programs crowning achievement.
Why is a Louisville fan on a Memphis board just moments after the biggest win in their program's history? Strange.

Should I quote what you've said about us this past week...or should I give you time to go back and erase it????

wrong...i know you're a little high from your teams win...but our biggest win is beating #6 UT and going to the 1973 NCAA national championship game...beating UL is fun...but it's no big deal.

enjoy your win tonight...it was a big one.

Go Tigers!!!

Nice....but seriously. You guys are the last ones to beat us at home...and you KILLED us! That will be mentioned plenty of times if we keep on winning.

You can quote away but I'll save you the time. I believe I posted that a one loss SEC team or one loss Big 10 team would be more deserving of a spot in the title game than an undefeated Louisville team. I believe I also posted that there isn't a team in the BE that would go undefeated in either one of those conferences. Tonight's game hasn't changed my opinion in the least.
FYI, UL didn't tear down the goalposts.

Not long ago we were talking about how our football program was equal to UL's, facilities were just as good, etc. Hmmm.

I couldn't help but think about that while I was watching the tail end of the game. I didn't realize that the Memphis loss was y'all's last home loss.

Not bad.

Good luck the rest of the way.

FYI they may not have done both posts but one was down. Or else there was a illusion of goal posts that were laying down on the field after the game.

They have goal posts that have a hinge of some sort at ground level.
Chris Fowler mentioned that the Stadium crew would have those things on the ground before the fans could get to them.

Funny thing is that I would have sworn that I saw fans trying to rip the uprights from the crossbar (while it was laying on the ground) just as they were going off the air.

Congrats Cards.

Does Jurich have a twin brother we could hire?

That's the point of collapsable goal post you douche!!! You basicly pull a string and they fall to the ground. A rocket scientist it does not require...otherwise it wouldn't be at Louisville. LOL!

Congrats on the win. I felt good for your long-time loyal fans who never thought they'd see this day. I wish we could trade places in football.

We never imagined it...regardless of what Schnelly said 20 years ago....so anything is possible.

Well I am sorry that I haven't studied every feature of Papa Johns Stadium you ******* douche. I didn't hear it during the game because I wasn't at home to watch the game, you douche. I was watching a basketball team, a real basketball team, play a game.

If we played Duke at the Forum next year.. they were #1 and we were #5 and we beat them, I have no doubt the floor would be overcome with fans right at the final buzzer.
I still remember UL fans ragging on us for rushing the court a couple of years ago...

It was a dumb thing to criticize then, and it's a dumb thing to criticize now.
I don't have any problem with congratulating Lville on a big and impressive win last night. They are for real. The fans showed up in black and they truely looked big time.

I hope they run the table and get in the BCS championship game.

My enemy is my friend.
I have to give kudos to Louisville for the big win. They executed well, went toe-to-toe with WVA and pulled out the win. The crowd was impressive. You didn't see any yellow shirts mixed in with the black. I'd love to see a Memphis/UT game at the Liberty Bowl where the only urange is isolated in the corner section of the end zone.

Louisville has made a long climb and are near the top. Let's hope our Tiger Football program figures out a way to do the same.
This thread makes us look bitter and low-class. There is absolutely nothing we can make fun of UL about when it comes to football. May this thread be like a Hankins pass, picked off and run back for a TD.
ULCARDINALS Wrote:You guys are the last ones to beat us at home...and you KILLED us! That will be mentioned plenty of times if we keep on winning.

Well dang UL: you let me off the hook with that sentence.

I "was" going to say that we not only beat you but we kicked that arse!!! ;-)

Congrats on the W. Wish we were in your shoes!!!
ULCARDINALS Wrote:That's the point of collapsable goal post you douche!!!

Hmmm.

Memphis board moderators have to be the most tolerant mods on the web.

looieville having a good football team is irrelevant.

A Memphis fan posting this tripe on a looieville board would be hammered and banned.

Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, Texas, Tennessee, California, Boise State and others have stronger football teams than looieville. Yet none of them use one of our threads to refer to Memphis fans as "douches."

Is it butter, or I can't believe it's not butter?
I still hate them
Couldn't happen to nicer guys. LOL
