I'm reading this board and see "respected" posters saying we were outcoached. Why are you not on those posters asses?? Our coaches do all they can with what they've got.
We weren't outcoached. We were beaten by better talent. That's the game in a nutshell. The rebs will always have better talent than we do.....that's just a fact. We are fighting an uphill battle trying to play with the rebs. Let's focus on the conference and try to win there before we take on the BCS. Let's beat UAB, UCF, and Tulsa. It kills me to see you guys act like we are the cream of the crop in CUSA. We are a middle of the pack CUSA team trying to make it to the top of that heap. When we win CUSA then we can worry about trying to beat the rebs.

Nobody is making any of these claims. We're bashing you because you're an idiot trying to stir up $hit, which is the only thing that you're good for.
I'm guessing most conversations you have in real life end with the waistband of your panties being pulled over your head.
I'm trying to figure out where they have more talent...
QB - I'll take Hankins over Schaeffer for the system we run
RB - Doss v BJGE - push
OL - push
WR - we clearly have the advantage here
DL - we have more depth and talent on the DLine
LB - They are better at the LB position
DB - I dont think either team can claim superiority in the secondary
special teams - they whipped us on special teams... but I cant attribute that to talent. Gibson didnt put the ball particularly well yesterday, but the guy is a solid punter. Patrick continuously boomed kickoffs through the endzone two years ago, but had some trouble yesterday getting enough elevation on his kicks.
Past actions/words dictate how people treat you on here in the future. Same thing in real life.

Because you love it.

you're right and I'm trying real hard to be a "good poster." I'm not a sunshine pumper either. The fact is we got beat by a better team. We've got a conference that it's time to contend for a title in. You need to forget the missippi game, it's over and you should all get over it. In fact, Conway, you wanna be a real hero just delete any posts whining about the missippi game. It's over, we lost, and there's not a whole lot left to whine about. Move on!
I've stayed out of the btiger bashing this go round because I've done my share in the past (and it was all well deserved I might add).
b, you've brought this on yourself. Your comments above are the kind of unfounded statements that turn people off and cause them to turn on you.
Ole Miss DOES NOT and WILL NOT ALWAYS have better talent than us. That statement itself is nuts and if you step back and look at it honestly you'll see that it is.
But you are correct in we are fighting an uphill battle against the rebs. We are fighting an uphill battle against any SEC team based on the $ commited to the programs alone. They are part of the "we want all the money and don't give it to or share it with anyone else BCS" machine.
We weren't outcoached. They do not have better talent than us. They scored off us on a gimmick play you expect to see on a playground but that's to their credit. On Sunday Sept. 3rd, 2006 they won the game so you have to say on that day they had the better team but that's it. Home field advantage is usually worth anywhere from a field goal to a touchdown when 2 evenly matched teams are involved.
I'm not bashing you b. I'm just saying the same things others have said, you ask for this and then when you get it you cry. You don't like being slammed, stop making some of the silly and ridiculous posts you make on here. You do a lot of it to draw attention to your self and to stir things up and you do that well but stop whining about it when you get what you wanted.

Why even bother rationalizing with him? He doesn't even believe what he's saying. Just call him an idiot every time he says something stupid.

I do not believe that we got beat by a better team. The game statistics and the final score show that the teams were equally matched. The marginal difference was the home field advantage as reflected in the betting line. I do agree with you that we should focus on winning the conference and put this game behind us as fans. There is not much left to discuss. The coaches can take what they see and work on the deficiencies so that we can go into conference play and do what we can do to win that title.

Statistics are for losers. They use them to try and rationalize. If I'm not mistaken the final score showed that we lost......nothing else matters.

And to ignore the statistics is to ignore the balance of the game itself. There is no rationalizing the score. The other team made the plays to win. We did not. The coaches need to teach the players what they need to do to overcome thiese problems. You commented in this thread and in many other posts that we should not even try to think that we can play with Missississippippi and that is for "losers". I am not a "sunshine pumper" either.

i didn't say thinking we can play is for losers.
I said that using statistics to make yourself feel better is for losers.
The only stat that maters is 28-25..........comprende????

You wrote that the other team was better. Not by the stats.
The statistics do not make me feel any better about the loss. It is a bad loss.
You wrote elsewhere that we should drop the series and concentrate on something that we can handle. I believe that kind of thinking is for "losers".

That kind of thinking is not for losers, it's realistic. We need to book out of conference wins and hope to go .500 in the conference.
Again, to say that the stats say the other team is not better is a loser's rationale. Once again, 28-25 is the only stat that matters.

To what end? To go to a bowl game? That is already happening. Winning half your conference games is not going to win you the conference so I don't understand that plan.
If you said, save your powder, win your conference and then go after the SEC games (which I thought was your point earlier), I would still disagree but see the rationale. Dropping our SEC games, schedule cupcakes and win half of our conference games gets us nothing.
Realists are usually pessimists by another name. I would never think of you as pessimistic.
