Not that the following may have anything to do with this but...
I was in a local bookstore a few months ago and was flipping through a very well done coffee table style book about Mississippi football, specifically Eli's last season. It was a great book for a Mississippi fan, each game had a series of field level pictures, selected commentary, etc. It was the type of book I wish we had for Memphis football & basketball.
As I'm sure you remember Memphis won that years game. We were listed as Memphis State in that book.
I'm aware that the book was put together not by the university, rather by the newspaper in Jackson, but still some people seem to delight in still calling us Memphis State.

I've never denied that I like Memphis. I grew up a MEMPHIS STATE fan. Bobby Parks, Keith Lee, Andre Turner, Danny Sparkman, and Derreck Crawford were my childhood idols. This board is great, and is especially fun before the first game. I'm just trying to mildly annoy some of you for fun before the game. If I am making you angry, I apoligize for over-shooting the mark.
For the record, I'm tired of reading about Brent Schaeffer on our boards. I guess that saga has to end one way or another pretty soon.

You really don't know your football. Two were offered by Ole Miss. And you are in no position to talk about QB's with offers. Seth Adams is a Delta State reject, Connor Wise is back from that powerhouse Army team, and Bruce Hall only played QB in juco after not making it at Wake Forrest. Oh but you did have one of the top 5 nationally recruited QB's in Robert Lane, where is he on the QB depth chart, oh yea, he's an all world TE now.... lmfao lmfao lmfao

I would say you are smoking crack by this last quote... Our QBs have been with the same team for a couple years now. You can't say the same thing, which is why I would much rather be in our shoes than yours. Sure, BS has some talent, at least that's what I hear, but you can't make up for cohesiveness and familiarity among team players.
