Jesus DT get off it already. If you actually spent time reading my post, I was guessing they are done. No where did I ever say they out of it nor did I say that I was off the wagon. No one has supported the terps more than me. I would have rooted for them in the NIT if they didn't make it. The terps play during that stretch was poor at best. I also said what they needed to do to get in...and they did it. Next time I feel the need for my loyalty to be tested, I guess I'll just come to you.

Well since I grew up 10 minutes away and played sports against your sorry a$$ teams, I would say I know plenty about Damascus.

I played Basketball, Soccer and Baseball. I understand that recently Damascus has gotten better but back when I played they were always an easy win.

And the answer to the next question is I graduated in 1988 and went to SCHS.

What is it about you that refuses to let things go? I did not give up on the Terps. I did say I thought their chance at the time to make the NCAA's was gone. What you can't understand is that even if they went to the NIT, I would have been rooting for them just the same. I would have been disappointed not to make the NCAA's. The reason I would have been so diappointed is because the streak would have ended for Gary Williams. I never expected another National Championship out of these young kids, but for Gary's sake and for UMD's program, it would have been a disappointment.

As for you attempted rip on South Carroll, I only have one thing to say really....look at the trophies we have in our hall. The 4 years I was there, our football team went to states twice, our Lacrosse team was dominant, our basketball team won counties and went to the states the year after me and our soccer team too went to states. Hold on to your high school dreams, but the facts don't lie. Damascus had really good teams far after I ever played them. In every sport I played, we killed you.

Yes our football, soccer and baseball fields are very nice and red-neck. Doesn't bother me at all. I liked living out there where you could actually move around. Damascus is a hole and you couldn't pay me enough to live there.

Let me remind you the things I have done to try to end this. I have apologized to all for being so pesimistic. I agreed that you were right that we were not indeed done. I apologized on a Duke message board. I also stated my valid points that saying the Terps weren't in the NCAA's had nothing to do with whether or I still supported the team...which is obvious that I do. Let me put it this way, UMD is my home team and have been through all the sh*t year's and the good years. When we sucked, I was miserable...but I'm still here. Get it yet?

Let me remind you of another thing, allthough Duke may have won the conference, they still don't have the record of 10 straight (and now 11) consecutive NCAA appearances. That was the cause of my dismay with UMD. IT NEVER HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH ME QUITTING ON THE TEAM IN WHICH I HAVE NOT MISSED A GAME IN ABOUT 11 YEARS.

My son was born during March Madness last year and I sat up in the hospital with him watching the Nicholas miracle game while my wife slept. Don't question me as a fan.

As for Damascus...yes it is a sh*t hole. It was 15 years ago and driving through it last weekend I realized that it isn't any nicer. Sorry!

Three weeks to go and having to beat either Wake or NC State at NC State seemed like a stretch the way they were playing. Ask anyone in the board. I was wrong thank God. You seem to be the only one that keeps this going. Yes I also thought UMD had won a NCIT under GW...I checked and I was wrong and admitted it.
