UAB mods have no need for a smack board. This has to be the biggest collection of pushovers that I have ever seen on a message board. Small mans syndrome runs wild on that board. The following is a collection of the past deleted posts from the smack board.

I don't know who the players were. When you're being gang raped by a bunch of football players, you don't really have time to get acquainted with them. It's hard to get to know people when they are forcefully shoving parts of their body into every orifice imaginable. They're also not very eager to share their information with you.

I have read the article and know that the article does not have any proof as to what happen. If I thought those allegations had any validity, which I would have if criminal charges had been filed, I would not defend the players at all. I would have demanded their dismissal from the team. The writer of that article quoted people in the article that was not even interviewed.

You have no proof that this did not happen other than a poorly written article in a major sports magazine. There is nothing to back it up.

Let's just say anyone can file a civil suit. I could file one against you charging anything I want. Prisoners do it all the time. It would get thrown out of court just like this one did.

No criminal charges. Civil case thrown out. Family paid off by ESPN Magazine. If I ever see any evidence that it actually happened other than the magazine article, I would not defend them. Here's a concept that you may have heard of. Sometimes women yell rape when nothing happened. There have been many stories where DNA has set men free who were wrongly accused.

Given the Birmingham climate toward UAB, if this story had any validity, someone with UAT ties would have pressed it to make sure something stuck.
