I am going to be visiting family in the Memphis area over the holidays. Where can I find a Blue Crew t-shirt in Memphis? I know the student section wears them at basketball games. I wasn't sure if they were distributed strictly to students or if the public can buy them around town.

way to go..be inclusive. you have people wanting a shirt and you torpedo them.
hey, i want a shirt that says "Original Blue Crew Member, est. 1991" or one that says "i remember when 1000 students WOULD show up at a game...and we didn't have no stinkin' t-shirts"
get the person a shirt. jesus.

Just thought I would ask. As an alumnus who lives in the middle of Indiana and Louisville fans, I thought it would be cool to have one. When you don't live in the Memphis area, UofM gear isn't the easiest thing to find.

you want a shirt, i will scribble Blue Crew on a blue T and mail it to you. absurd for that fledgling little group to be pissy and protective about the damn shirts. as far as i am concerned we are all members of the Blue Crew in one way or another, and they ought to wise up and start selling some damn shirts.
don't get me wrong, i am THRILLED at what they are doing, but they didn't exactly invent the idea of students going en masse to games and organizing trips, events, etc. there was a time when 1000 students would show up without a second thought, yet inthe past 10 years student involvement has been PATHETIC..absolutely PATHETIC. now the blue crew is ramping things back up. good. but the idea of not sharing thier t-shirts is a bit shortsited. this isn't the Skull and Bones..it is a spirit group of students and if alumni (who were students) want to be a small part of it then why not.

would that be a marketing or public relations question.

Ever think the Blue Crew might of only had enough money to get the people in the group a T-shirt?

I guess I could get my 5 year old to scribble it on a t-shirt. I didn't mean to open up a can of worms. I didn't realize that it was such an exclusive thing to own one. With the resurgence in UofM athletics, it seems the logical thing to do would be to promote the Tigers any way possible.

cool..
i am going outside for air.

damn wedding photos. every week its wedding photos and wedding photos and wedding photos and on and on and on
although three weeks ago i did a wedding down in olive branch, and i got to tell you guys this one....this is an indicator of how far the Tigers have come in football (and it relates to that mississippi Tom thread)
when i got to the wedding, it was the day of the Marshall game. I am used to shooting weddings in the fall and seeing tons of people surrounding a tv watching a footmall game, but it is usually UT or Ole Miss fans.
yet here i was in north mississippi and i was looking at a crowd of people around a tv in a carport and they were glued to the Memphis game. it was SO freaking cool to see fellow tiger fans and not have to argure with ole miss fans...and this was mississippi.
Will Hudgens' mom was there and i gave her a big hug and told her to tell him all of the Tiger faithful were rooting for him to make it back. she was so sweet.
anyway, Tiger football has come a long way.
now for the air...
Am I the idiot again, or has someone joined my team? :banned:

Screw you, you bitter little turd. You want to discuss it like a man, face to face, with no crying and big talk while you hide behind a keyboard, come see me at the next home game in the lobby AT THE OPEN ENROLLMENT TABLE... yeah, we're really exclusive... dumb***.
Shakey... we ARE working on getting tshirts for the general public to be available through Champion Awards at the games starting with LATech... hopefully.
these will not be the official Blue Crew shirts that you see us wearing... as they are only available to members, but some have said they look even better than what we are wearing.
well hell i responded and then deleted it...so again...
cry me a f-ing river.
awww you workey so hard? awww...how cute. like you are the first person to ever try and create a support group for that team? plenty of past students have worked their asses off to get people to support that team. you didn't invent the idea. and what the hell is that about wanting me on my knees...freak.....

You were being condescending and judgemental without knowing ANY facts.
That's just as bad as uofmwaltoon throwing things out there without actual knowledge.
and i apologised and said it was cool that you were selling t-shirts before you posted for me to get on my knees. my mistake on the availibility of shirts but come off your little blue crew pedstal. people are thrilled for you, but don't ack like your some special little group. you are students supporting the team and that should be EXPECTED. and i have had three pots of coffee today...

You're an idiot.
Will... please least call someone before you make definitive statements as if you were the authority it.
Photo... get back on your knees and hush... so bitter... and ignorant.
damn your stupid... just slapably moronic... hey why don't we (the BC) just all get together, pay $25 each to join a group, order some shirts, get out and work to get sponsorships, show up to games over two hours early, skip classes to get things organized, and then when everyone thinks it's a goood idea , let anydamnbody who wants one have a shirt and claim to be a member. And I am sorry for being dense and ignorant of copyright laws! Cheers
I love happy ending!
As vice president of the Blue Crew I just have a few comments to make.
1. There is no need for calling each other names......we're all Tiger fans and should focus that energy on making fun of ole piss and university of tennessee at knoxville fans
2. We had planned on making shirts to sell to the general public that were Blue Crew shirts; however, not the "official" Blue Crew shirt. Unfortunately, I spoke with our president briefly and he mentioned that there are some legal issues surrounding this....something about we aren't supposed to make money by using the university. We will hopefully be able to find a way around this issue....Gray Crew maybe for alumni?
3. The Blue Crew is an exclusive organization limited to student membership. I never thought that our exclusiveness would bring such a negative image to our program. The founders have thought this to be the best decision for several reasons.
-It serves as a perk for current students to join. Do you think things would have went as well if they handed out Blue Crew shirts to everyone at the first basketball game and let anyone be part of the group? No, that has been tried before and failed.
-It serves as a marketing strategy to prospective and future students. Kids will see us on TV and want to go to the UofM because they see how much fun we have in the Blue Crew.
4. Remember, as in all situations, the actions of one member of a group are not representative of the group as a whole. The Blue Crew does not promote violence or cursing.
5. We are only half way through the season and we are already seeing things we would like to change as well as things that we think are great. We will continue to assess these characteristics of the Blue Crew and consider implementing changes next year.
6. As a whole, I feel the Blue Crew has been a great success. We are redefining the atmosphere in the fedex forum and making it difficult for any team to compete in our arena.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled program.

Since I graduated in '89, I could go with the Gray Crew. Or if you can't sell them, maybe you could give them to alumni who make a "donation" to your group. You have to think outside the box here. ;-)
