3 generations of my family went to Tech, and I know Swagger's Dad went to Tech(and I believe GTS would have if not for out of state tuition...correct me if I'm wrong GTS). Don't start talking crap about bandwagon

All but one received a diploma. The blame is squarely upon the academic support staff, which botched it up to begin with. Student athletes and coaches did nothing wrong. The problem was discovered upon an internal audit. The support system problem was fixed before it was discovered when it was restructured after "Flunkgate" when Hollings et al failed.

This is a sharp contrast to Jim Harrick paying off players and having the NCAA come down with probation and forfeiting all wins during the Harrick tenure.

Georgia's infraction history is one of the worst in the NCAA. To find records of the same calibur, you'd need to take a visit to SMU, or ... ... . . well just about everybody in the SEC but Vandy.

Affirmative. Top 5% and a legacy, and they wouldn't even give me what they thought I should get b/c they dumped it all into the Hope Scholarship. So my course load is catered toward completing a Masters or Doctorate at Tech. Hope to snag a fellowship.. if not, one year isn't too bad on the wallet.

Do Tech fans keep bringing up the Harrick-gate because they can't beat us in any sports? Everyone else has moved way past it.

When UGA loses they go home, put down a few more budweisers, then proceed to beat their wife, dog, children, trailer, etc. Then they ban together and protest their coach, president, or some poor player that drops one pass.

Academic ineligibility is a foreign word to UGA tongues - I mean with majors such as Sport Studies and classes like The History of Rock n Roll, it is really hard not to succeed. But the funny thing is some of their players find a way not to.

I'm also reposting this I posted in Georgia Tech's section in response to Mr. Dawg's claim that Georgia athletes are far smarter than Georgia Tech athletes:

"Only 9 percent of UGA men's basketball players and 41 percent of football players that were accepted from 1996-99 graduated within six years, according to NCAA figures released last week. The basketball rate was the second-worst among the 319 Division I institutions that fielded teams. Both rates were the worst among 12 Southeastern Conference teams."
