And I am the guy who gives it to you-
First of all, I had heard the rumor of "ETSU will get a home game" and I said to myself "this is not right."
So I did some research, which was rather light, and found out ETSU is NOT getting a home game on Monday.
Now, on Tuesday I listen to the new "Sports Monster." Meade and Hellman are off doing play-by-play so they had Tom Taylor and the Operations Manager of the station co-hosting the show.
Mostly high school stuff- which makes sense- because Taylor is very well connected with Dobyns-Bennett. As much as I think the area is too much into the high school mentality- to be honest it was a nice change of pace and relevant as it is tourney time.
But they had legitimate discussions with callers blindly theorizing that "wouldn't it be great if ETSU could play Appalachian State?"
Now, Taylor is the former ETSU play-by-play guy. Somebody on that show ought to learn the NIT seeding possibilities- as it is the No. 1 sports story going on in the area right now- and be able to tell the caller barring ASU getting a one seed and ETSU an eight (or two and seven), that isn't going to happen.
So basically I scooped The Sports Monster on here.
Now, number two. The recruits.
Rivals ain't even giving you the scoring averages, folks.
You know me, you love me, and you can't live without my info.
