If you have never visited the BucFootball.com website, I suggest you do so. There is alot of good information over there, plus a message board that is centered on the football foundation. When you get a minute, take a look!

Message Board
The last letter was written by my old high school baseball coach.
By the way, I notice that board has a lot of spam on it.
I can link on to a site that shows Britney Spears under her skirt or some such thing there.
Yeah, that won't put any viruses or spyware on my computer.
No mention of the student vote on the bucsfootball site yet. You figure there would be a rally call on there or something but instead it looks like a dead site, just like the football program.
Yeah its pretty much dead. This is the place where all the action is. Kim might as well give it up over there.
Well, I'm going to present a Plan B next month.
How is this an important topic?
Hmmm. Good question. But it would be interesting to see how long we can keep this lame discussion alive.
It is almost like Fan1 is trying to kill this board by saying another board is "Important."
This board has LONG been THE board for ETSU discussion.
This is why I didn't want Fan1 deciding what is important or not.
Here's a guy who had the audacity to leave me a negative reputation rating- practically siding with the athletic administration by saying I criticize them too much.
Talk about being a good little shill- and he's not even paid by ETSU!
Fan1 has said that I wasn't for football's return. He thinks that I should just take the disloyal backstabbing treatment ETSU administration has given me and be okay with it.
He criticizes me for boycotting an entity that has done nothing but backstab me- as well as others in his profession.
Oh, but guess what? He PMed me and wanted to work for me.
When I gave him my number and told him to call me and talk about it- he chickened out.
But this topic is important.
Why? Because you want to sabatoge this board, Fan1?
Are you such a good little shill that you now are subscribing to the proud ETSU tradition of eating your own?
Maybe he gave you a negative reputation rating because you like hockey. I can't say I blame him if that was the case.
Hey, Fan1, this is about 20 straight comments by Nuck aimed at attacking me and my own personal tastes.
Now, you're supposed to be the moderator here. You're supposed to protect me.
Yet you let this go.
What gives? Why are you so incompetent?
Because fan agrees with me. He realizes hockey is the worst sport ever and that Hamilton is the worst coach ever.
You keep getting better looking all the time, Nuck. How do you do it?
You keep getting better looking all the time, Nuck. How do you do it?
You know the usual. I take Vitamins, drink a lot of water, do pilates 4 times a week, and I have the occasional Green Tea Latte.......oh and most importantly I don't watch hockey.
Anyone who watches basketball over hockey is a gang banging, hip-hop loving, baggy pants wearing, gold chain buying freak.
Who posts pictures of Hooters chicks he'll never score with.
Hey, think that honey would do you over a hockey player?
Girls don't respect men who watch Rappin. They respect men who watch Slap Shot.
And you know that.
Who posts pictures of Hooters chicks he'll never score with.
Pitt don't you recognize who that is? All I am doing here is using ETSU's most famous mascot as my avatar...Kimberly Sams. Since the board switched to this new format it lost my old Kim Sams picture so I had to do a few google searches to find this new and improved one.
Kim Sams is still working at Hooters?
And you'll never score with her.
And I'm sure that after her experience with Mrs. Bartow, she's a puck bunny now!
No not a puck bunny but she's part of the hip hop crowd. She wears baggy pants, hangs out with thugs, and watches the NBA.

That might explain why her photo makes her look 10 years older than she is.
If she watched hockey she would have a mullet, look 30 years older, and have a constant black eye.
22 posts already. I told you we could stretch this discussion out.
If she watched hockey she would have a mullet, look 30 years older, and have a constant black eye.
You mean like Carol Alt, Janet Jones, Alyssa Milano and Pamela Anderson?
Now, let us get off Nuckster's obvious hillbillyism and talk about the REAL sport tonight.
I'm rooting for the Ducks because of Randy Carlyle. But what has me excited about their chances is not just the great goaltending of Giguere, but the veteran leadership of Teemu Selanne.
Okay, he's not one of the Ducks captains. But that pass he made to set up Ryan Getzlaf BEHIND HIM- was a thing of beauty.
Who were the Avalanche pairing him with when Selanne only had 32 points three years ago in a full season?
It's great to see at 36 Selanne has plenty of life yet.
And who knows? Maybe he'll finish his career where it started- WITH THE WINNIPEG PREDATORS!!!!!
HA! HA! HA!
You mean like Carol Alt, Janet Jones, Alyssa Milano and Pamela Anderson?
Alyssa Milano and Pamela Anderson? Come on Pitt you're living in the past those two have been washed up for years. Now on the other hand Jessica Alba who is a young bright star is a regular at Golden State games.
That almost deserves a negative reputation rating, Nuc! Careful, now.
Now, let us get off Nuckster's obvious hillbillyism and talk about the REAL sport tonight
Theres a football game tonight?
The hottest movie of last year was based on a man in love with Pamela Anderson.
I would say she's still doing fine.
Unlike NBA ratings.
Unlike the Hockey ratings.
That's the best you can come up with?
Great game last night and I think that Giguere has become hockey's top goalie.
But earlier I mentioned the movie Slap Shot, featuring my friend Dave Hanson- who currently runs the Island Sports Center in Neville Island, PA.
That has been listed as the greatest "guy" movie of all time and is probably the best sports comedy movie ever. It is as quoted as much in hockey circles as Caddyshack is in golf circles- and also features the great dog sculpture of Johnstown, Pennsylvania as well the actor who fulfilled many a male 60s child's fantasy by marrying Marsha Brady in another later role.
But where I'm going with this is that it seems to me lesbianism has come a long way since the making of Slapshot in 1977.
Remember the scene where Reg (Paul Newman) finds out that the other team's goalie's wife is bisexual, and so he gets the goalie to come out of the crease and try to fight him when he heckles this little fact?
Thirty years later, if we found out that a goalie's wife was bisexual, his teammates would be trying to get their own wives to hook up with her.
I don't know who we can give credit to this. Howard Stern? Bob Guccione? Janine Lindemuller?
Maybe all three.
Girls with girls have become so commonplace that I recently saw a woman kissing another girl. Not a peck on the cheek but rather an effort at a party to arouse the other men and women in the room- deep soulfull kissing that turns you on.
Naturally, I struck up a conversation with the woman, who INSISTED she was straight- despite this lurid display of lipstick lesbianism.
But you know, other sports movies do not promote such discussion.
GOTTA LOVE HOCKEY!
That's the best you can come up with?
I think I said enough when ESPN said that the NHL finals were more irrelevant than than the Indy 500.
And when the only cable station that wants to show the NHL is Versus than you realize how little people care about the sport.

ESPN also said Tennesseeans were Trailer Park Trash in 1997.
I have no interest in what ESPN has to say. Apparently ESPN discovered there were more conservatives in hockey than they'd like.
Versus is a great network. I'm not saying it is going to replace ESPN tomorrow in popularity, but the quality of their coverage of the sports they have is far superior to ESPN's.
By the way, I have yet to hear of the hockey player who says one hour that he wants to be traded and the next says he does not.
Unlike the NBA's biggest star.
Is there ANY honesty left in the NBA?
I mean, when is Charles Barkley going to run for Governor of Alabama, anyway?
Slap Shot. Yes! I saw it three times at the old dollar theater in Johnson City (there was a Majestic Theater and another one (I've forgotten the name). The other one became a dollar theater before becoming an X-Rated theater back in the late 70s. I saw Slap Shot over and over for a dollar.
Great movie. The brothers with glasses were hilarious!
OK. You've changed my opinion, Pitt. I loved Slap Shot, so I must love hockey!
You are thinking of the Paramount
Nope. It wasn't the Paramount. What was the name of that place? Seems like it started with a "C."
That was it! The Capri! It was on a corner. Seems like it was a couple of blocks down from the Majestic.
Both were on Main Street, they tore down the Capri and built the bus station, right across the street from the JC Press.
I wonder if it is true that the Majestic suffered structual damage from the movie Earthquake because it used sensaround and it actually shook the building to much and that led in part to it being closed.
The Capri.
Which I believe would have been right at the heart of downtown.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but was is where there is a parking lot now, across from Fountain Square?
It was torn down before I moved here. But the reason I know of it was I was looking up stuff once in old issues of the Johnson City Press and saw, circa 1980, an ad for an X-Rated theatre in downtown Johnson City.
And I was Shocked! SHOCKED I SAY!
A dirty movie theatre in JOHNSON CITY? DOWNTOWN JOHNSON CITY!?!?!?!
What this means is that Johnson City had a dirty movie theatre several years before you could buy a cocktail in a bar (that didn't happen 'til 1982).
I realize we're pretty conservative in Johnson City. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it isn't.
But at the risk of sounding like Captain Sleaze, I always had a problem with the fact it was perfectly okay for media outlets around here to sell to cigarette or liquor stores- and for that matter gun shops- but The Mouse's Ear was considered taboo.
Again, at the risk of sounding like Captain Sleaze, the only place you can buy a Playboy in Johnson City are the big book stores. The convenience stores no longer carry them.
But cigarettes and beer? Sure, that's okay!
The culture of Johnson City in the last quarter century has seen us consider looking at Jenna Jameson in private to be more harmful than to go out and drink alcohol and then come home. I don't buy that.
Now, I'm not a parent. But I do know this. If I ever am, I would be far less stressed if PittsburghBucs Jr. at the age of 12 wanted to satisfy some male curiosity and looked at a porno mag than if he lit up a smoke, tried to drink alcohol, or heaven forbid played with a loaded gun.
I would not produce such items for my son or daughter, but I think three of those require punishment and one of them requires a father and son talk.
So why is it that the porno mag is considered the greatest sin around here?
Look, I can understand why you wouldn't want a dirty book store in your residential neighborhood. No arguement there.
But consider this. Would you rather have a convenience store that sells adult magazines in your backyard or a tavern?
I'd rather have the convenience store. I don't get run over by a drunk driver that way. I don't have a shooting incident like you hear about at the Nashville Sound all the time.
Why does Joe Johnson City feel differently?
The Shamrock used to carry a huge selection of dirty magazines, I can't remember the last time I actually went inside, I always use the drive thru for hot dogs and lemonade.
They don't anymore.
And that's a business decision. Okay.
But I just wonder why it is okay to sell items that give you cancer, but not those that give you a woody?
I knew they had stopped selling beer around 10 years ago, probably haven't been inside in at least 5 years but they still had the magazines then.
R
They aren't there anymore.
Look, you want to smoke, okay.
But why is that "sinful pleasure" considered to be more appropriate than alcohol and sex?
I see my question has left the public speechless.
Now, getting back to an earlier topic- I was doing some searching and found THIS-
http://www.ukhockey.com/posters.shtml
You REALLY want to tell me hockey doesn't have the best looking female fans now?
Pitt you should go talk to Sara Diamond of WJHL I have heard that she is actually married to a former hockey player. Did you know that?
That not only means that Sara Diamond has just gone up incredibly in the hotness meter, but that she is more qualified to be a sports anchor at WJHL than anyone they currently have!
Guys- hockey on the amateur level is increasing by leaps and bounds.
Here's a site
http://eteamz.active.com/pahockey/links/
Read down there and see all the states that have added high school championships in recent years. Tennessee in 2000. Georgia. Virginia. Oklahoma- OKLAHOMA!
This is one of the reasons why I get on this area for being a bad sports town. You have the success of the York skating rink up in Bristol and nobody- NOBODY thinks of trying to build off it.
Florida Gulf Coast has a team- and a pretty good one- and their assistant coach is the REAL Paul Stanton.
I speak of how this could be the REAL way for the Tri-Cities to get on the map. Real rivalries- or even superiority- ahead of Knoxville.
I speak of how no other sport would attract new residents like hockey- and it's true.
And I get idiots on here who are afraid of it.
