I'm not breaking any new news here, but I think this topic needs a reminder.

Like many of you, I am distressed to hear about who various beautiful women are dating.

Heidi Klum has given pizza faces all over the world false hope by marrying and even- EWWWWWW- having kids with Seal.

Britney Spears, of course, married and had children with perhaps the only other man on earth who could be described as less attractive as Seal- that of course being Kevin Federline.

And Jessica Simpson now has been linked to Tony Romo- meaning that she has a thing for men with fly by night stardom.

But I had to put my foot down when I heard this one.

Daisy Fuentes and Matt Goss.

I had to first look up and find out just who Matt Goss was.

I found out he was a former boy band singer who was managed by the same people who brought us "The Pet Shop Boys."

You know- they say Marilyn Monroe was screwed up- but at least she had the good sense to marry Joe DiMaggio.

And Ann Jillian- say what you will- but she married a cop- which meant that not only did it give Everymen hope- but it also kinda made you appriciate her wanting to marry someone macho.

The way I see it, in a perfect world, the soldiers coming back from Iraq would be greeted by Simpson, Spears, certainly Daisy Fuentes for possible matedom.

At least for an evening.

WHAT IS IT WITH REALLY BAD BOY BAND MEMBERS (and not Bad Boys in Bands- I mean untalented Boy Band members- which is a redundency) getting hot chicks?

I MEAN- DAISY FUENTES! She is beautiful! She is rich! She is bilingual- meaning her choices of possible suitors is even larger than most women!

I don't care who Romo dates. But to compare Romo who has 3 or 4 career starts in the NFL to Ben who has been a starter for 3 years now and has a Super Bowl ring or Warner who took his team to 2 Super Bowls in 3 years winning 1 is pretty clueless behavior.

Scott Baio was a teen idol, aside from that awful stint on Joanie Loves Chachi.
Cowherd is right, I mean I could have used the ol' white speck on the top of chicken sh@t metaphor, but just didn't deem it necessary. Most women aren't stupid, they know EXACTLY what they are doing and what they want. I mean let's look at Romo, he's in the NFL, plays qb for "America's Team," and has dealt with T.O. pretty well so far, that in itself shows that he knows how to deal with women. And I will agree with you, I don't understand it when guys like Romo get hotties, or the Scott Baio's of the world are getting some play at the Mansion, but the fact is THEY ARE DOING IT! Admire the guy, but admire the woman even more for knowing how to look for more than some flaming idiot who lives in West Virginia, drinks warm beers and beats the kids.

This topic was started to bash the dating choices of women.

Here's the next example- Pamela Anderson.

We can discuss the attractiveness of Kid Rock for as long as the day is long.

But the problem is that this divorce is that Pam isn't coming to our God forsaken area to watch the NASCAR race anymore.

And we are diminished.

Boys, boys, boys. When will you ever learn that as women we will continue to make choices that seem completely irrational and make us seem "stupid" to you. I'm certainly not saying that there aren't stupid women out there but I would hope you would agree that there are some stupid men as well.

As for celebrities, hasn't it been shown time and time again that they will do virtually anything for media attention.

However, maybe some celebrities aren't as shallow and vapid as some people would like to believe. Maybe Heidi Klum really does love Seal or maybe Jessica Simpson doesn't care about Romo's looks because he's got something better to offer her.

Or who knows maybe these men are just hung like donkeys and that's all that really matters to these women.

And honestly shouldn't you guys be thankful that women like that would date men who aren't the best looking? I mean last time I checked none of you guys have talked about your Brad Pitt-like qualities.

See, here's what I'm proposing-

First- Firing Mullins and Stanton.

Second- Bringing football back.

Third- Ending this "fad"- which really is only about a hundred years old- of people CHOOSING who they get to marry.

In the times before then, you had arranged marriages. You married for money, for prestige, for power!

And you know what- nobody got divorced then!

The reason- women had nothing to do with the choices!

This fad doesn't work- as the choices of Simpson and Fuentes clearly illustrate.

Then, a thread about me that you started. Last post there was three days ago.

Another thread with only one post- that being three days ago- and that is about basketball.

So three posts in the last week. One about hoops.

So, yep, that's really THE place to talk ETSU basketball.

I am convinced, Rod, you are only about a day or so away from burning your bible and actually getting on your knees and pointing to Pittsburgh five times a day to worship ME!

There was a guy- TreeStreet- who started saying he was physically going to beat me up.

I offered to go to his house and call him out- and then the wimp backed out and never was heard from again.

There is a guy over on the dead board, who I called Bunny because of his ability to go on and on and on about ridiculous stuff (YES- I SAID THAT! So you can imagine how bad he was). He was this old truss fixer who obviously was used to people suck up to him- and when I called him out he didn't know how to take it.

His big gun against me was to pick on me because of my lack of knowledge of obscure poets who show up at Bill Clinton's Presidential Innaguration.

And I can live with that. He recently admitted he was too afraid to come over here.

MommaBear- AKA Kim Reece- is a former administration advisor who I once got along with- then decided she was going to turn against me despite the fact we have both suffered at the hands of ETSU administration.

The turncoat then was disgraced from this board when it came out that her "MommaBear Hugs" have, well, led to the birth of her child.

THen there was LP- who hasn't been seen around in awhile, but though he compared our duels as "Red Sox vs. Yankees"- we actually wound up getting along well in the end.

So Rod is nothing. Rod is the guy who says he hates me- then winds up about two years later totally echoing my initial comments about Tim Smith.

Rod is the guy who says he's this big Steelers fan, but then fights with me instead of trying to befriend the only guy who used to be in the Steelers locker room on a daily basis and knows the ins and outs of the team and players- or the guy who could actually get him tickets to a game.

Rod now is in denial of my drawing card.

Basically, I'm the guy Rod has always dreamed of being. I've covered the Steelers and even honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame as their top fan- I've become a cult figure at ETSU- I am what he wants to be.

Pitt- I'm quite familiar with the goings on of this board and the uncghoops board. I've been around awhile and have mostly lurked. I am also quite familiar with the other various sagas involving you and the other members of these boards. I must say it is refreshing to find that despite everyone's petty quarrels none of you seem to have bruised egos. I was convinced until I found all of the ETSU boards that I was the only around who had such a high opinion of myself.

Very well, but I'm about ready to now get on your case for not inviting me to your little after work social engagement.

94- Here's the deal. She mothered a kid with a former minor league ballplayer out of wedlock.

Now, does that make her a bad person? No.

There have been certain allegations made on this board by other posters. I don't want to go into them because they are just that- allegations.

What I think makes her a bad person is the fact this was the woman who turned on me. This is the woman who used to be one of my sources for my columns and such- and instead one day decided she wasn't going to talk to me anymore.

For what reason- I do not know.

And the thing is- ETSU treated her much the same way they treated me. She was one of Mullins' casualties.

If anyone should support me it is her- and I'd be willing to champion her return to prominence.

And as you implied, anyone with her kind of passion and education, that's backstabbing pure and simple.

So it makes me wonder. Here she champions the football foundation- but then blindly goes along with it when they say they will try to bring back football and not go after Mullins and Stanton.

Uh, that's not going to work. Even if the sport returns- these two are going to make it go 4-8 every year.

Bascially Pitt starts out okay but then as he goes along he gets way out in leftfield.He then gets so far off topic on one of his little tagents the point gets lost in his egotical self serving posts. He usaully gets to the point where he makes up stuff from thin air to support his positions and I call him on it and present the real facts. He then attacks me as a shill for Stanton and Mullins, how dare I let the truth get in the way of his crusade.

ETSU was leading Georgia Southern until late in the game and Sam Oatman went down with an injury.. with him out of the game Southern rallied to beat the Bucs in the last 5 minutes.. after the game DeChellis said that Oatman going down was a key reason ETSU lost that game....
Sound familiar Pitt? Totally bogus untrue.. didn't happen.. not even close.. But you didn't make just 1 post.. or 2.. but probably 10-12 posts touting that story about why Oatman would have been the PG to lead ETSU to the promised land and wins over Cinnicinnati and Wake Forest...

That was a mistake on my part and I fessed up to it.

I did an interview with Eddie D after that game asking him about the reasons for the loss. I recalled one of the factors he mentioned was Oatman's injury.

About three years later, we started talking about Tim Smith's contributions. One of the favorite lines his defenders would state is that Smith was so much more athletic than Oatman, so hence you would want him in there.

My mind played a trick on me- which happens three years after the fact to anyone.

Because ETSU had blown a late lead and because of DeChellis' reference to the Oatman injury I had connected the two in my mind.

That is my bad.

However, Rod, you just can't win at anything.

See, I led the criticism of Smith's ball hogging ways back when he was a freshman and was roundly criticized for it. Eventually, though, you came to my way of thinking. Everyone did.

So PittsburghBucs once again proved his genius. Oh, you can deny me the credit, but that's why I have to brag all the more.

In this instance- you actually have to indirectly PRAISE your whipping boy Smith.

The point I was trying to make in my original Oatman point you say I was "making out of thin air" was that you could win without Smith- that he wasn't the entire team.

To be honest, the fact the Bucs are now 3-4 and not 1-6 might speak of Smith having the higher error ratio that I spoke of for years.

See, it used to be Pitt's rival was Duquesne- right in the city and all- the way LP used to be. But now Pitt is so much more dominant and since they represent the same city there really isn't much to the rivalry anymore.

Then there was thedoctor- who was my Penn State. He was pretencious- just like PSU- and thought he had all the answers while continually shooting himself in the foot. He'd accuse me of things I didn't do and eventually came around to my way of thinking in just about everything- such as Tim Smith.

But, he is too scared to play me anymore. So the rivalry is dead and he is remembered as the guy who couldn't hang.

Rod is WVU. Rod is forced upon you. I mean, he's always there, but he's a pimple on my ass, really. I mean- he's the main detractor here I guess (I know VolLover wants to be- but simply makes such absurd statements with such regularity he really isn't a challenge)- there's a bit of history- but in the end- HE'S ROD SHAW!

No leading man there. No nine national championships. No Cathedral of Learning and Salk Vaccine. He's known for very little. The rivalry is one of convienece.

Actually, calling Rod WVU is really a compliment to him. I mean, Rod isn't known for a helluva lot.

At least West Virginia has that wonderful rallying cry:
