We smoke you butt by 20 last year while we were 0-2 in conference play. This year y'all do all you can to beat us by 3 on your court to EVEN the series between us.

Man where do you get off downing any school's program or making fun of it. You guys are so mid-major it's not even funny. Just look at your name, university of north carolina at charlotte. We aren't known as tennessee at Memphis, Louisville isn't known as Kentucky at Louisville, I think you get the picture. Is there any major ath. program that is considered major that doesn't play football, don't think so. And by the way, Memphis State went away about 15 years ago, you really need to stop using that term, it makes you look so mid-major. Have fun in your new conference with those other mid-majors.

Pop quiz bub, who was the last New C-USA team to make it to the Elite 8? The A-10 put 2 there last year. So if that's mid-major then I guess you'll be competing in a very LOW major conference come next year.

One of y'all dug up the RPI of the future CUSA, and I did the same for the A-10.....The A-10 is worse than the future CUSA. Not by much, and niether of us has anything to brag about.

The fact is--we set ourselves up for ridicule from Char with the smack talk before the game. They beat us, by hook or by crook. (again, methinks crook) I am prepared to endure the wrath of the smack--if you can dish it out--

The fact is--we will improve. We will do better-we will strive for more-we will land in a better conf-we will draw national exposure and big games.

The fact is--you will still be char. the team least cared about in your own state- the team that no one remembers --the team that your facilities and program will dwindle because you are no longer able to suck the blood from the conf you are in--the team that in 5 yrs no one will know exists.

As far as suck the blood from the conference I think that's you as well. Who's been to the post season more in C-USA, Charlotte or you? Who's won more titles Charlotte or you? Who's brought in more units of post season dollars, Charlotte or you? I'll give you a hint, it's not you.

Just like a majority of the other fans on this board, your elitist, smug attitude is neither earned or appropriate. You're an underachieving team that had a nice run in the 80's. You're not an elite team, you're not a team that anyone even breathes the name of when discussing elite teams. I think it comes down to your standard of "elite." If the standard is Duke, The holes, UConn etc. I think both of us have a long way to go. A few good seasons doesn't make a team elite in my opinion. It's sustained success over years and years, something neither of our teams can boast, so your arrogance on the subject is rather laughable.

Jay Bilas, Andy Katz, Seth Davis, the selection commt., the AP voters, the Coaches poll voters all know who we are. There may be many who don't know who we are, but the ones that count do.

Well Vitale has done 2 games at Charlotte that I can remember. However since this is the first year they've ever done Gameday for college basketball one can say he's never done it with Gameday as the back drop. Who spent the first 2 years of his tenure playing in the National division and who spent their's playing in the American? Who spent their first two years going home and away with USF, UAB, So. Miss and Houston while the other went home and away with Marquette, Depaul, Cincy and UL?

The issue with us not starting football is not enrollment. We have around 20K which is more than enough. The problem is Title IX and start up costs. That and the fact that the majority of Div. I football programs lose money, including Memphis' I'm willing to bet, all are factors that go into us not having football. We'll have it one day though.

That could be. YOu have NCAA talent but NIT heads and hearts. That will carry you far into the NIT. We'll be in the NCAA where the heart and the talent have to be NCAA level.

I think UCLA would argue with you about the mid-major comment. The name is meaningless.

As far as the nationally televised games - congrats. 12 a year (or whatever) is impressive. But how many of those did you lose? How many did you lose badly? Is it a good thing that the entire nation gets to watch you lose all the time? We might not get on TV, but we play good basketball and year in and year out we have the RPI to back that up. I'd rather listen to a win on the radio then watch a loss on TV.
