I got a PM suggesting we do a thread where we all introduce ourselves and tell who we root for.

Feel free to respond with whatever you feel like sharing. If all you want to do is say "here" so we can see what kind of support each school has, that's fine!

I know there was a thread over on the CUSAbbs several weeks ago where everyone listed their degrees. I was surprised to see how many people had advanced degrees...
Here's mine:

My loyalties are split between two schools, if you cannot tell by my sig! But when they face off, I root for Mercer.

B.S. Earth Sciences, Mercer University, 2000.
M.S. Science Education, The University of Southern Mississippi, 2001.
M.S. Geology, The University of Southern Mississippi, 2005.

Maybe one day I'll get out of school!

Go Bears!
I'll be sticking around from time to time - so I'll play.

B.S. Business Administration - Management, UCF 2004

anticipated Masters in Business Administration, UCF 2006

A UCF fan, but also an A-Sun fan as the conference has been very good to us.
BBA, Campbell 1987

I was a sports info student asst (statistician) from Campbell's Big South days and have enjoyed following the Camels and their conference cohorts ever since.

I hope all the posters and lurkers will post on this thread and be counted. It will be interesting to see the schools and numbers represented here. In the three months of this board's existence, I've noticed around 20-25 different posters from all the schools except maybe UNF, G-W, and JU. That's pretty encouraging, considering it started during a slow time. It will be fun to watch (and help) it grow.
Mercer student from fall '02 until present.

I'm a huge hoops fan, but college baseball is starting to get my attention as well.

Go Bears!!
Yo yo yo....I'm both a Stetson and UCF fan - despite what UCFer's think over on their rivals board 03-razz

I attended UCF for a B.S. in finance. Graduated in 2000.

I attended Stetson for my MBA. Graduated in 2002. I had a fantastic time there as I volunteered as the men's basketball team manager and worked for the SID department. HAaaaatterrs.

And now I'm attending Mississippi State University for my Ph.D. in Management. Will be graduating in 2007 (I hope!). My allegiance to MSU is no where near what it is for Stetson and UCF however.

I'm originally from Boca Raton, FL and hope to get back to FL after I graduate.

Ok, that should do it folks. I look forward to having some fun on the new board.

p.s. Don't visit Mississippi. It's a VERy strange place :)

Hey chief. How is UCF's MBA program? I couldn't get in so I went to Stetson instead!

I heard both are pretty bad.

I resemble that remark! :D

Seriously, it's just Starkville... the rest of the state is normal. Come visit the 'Burg!

The messages are ordered by time posted... it takes a little getting used to if you've used a Rivals type message board in the past.

The best way is to click the little "quote" button on the post you're replying to. That way you get a little window down below where you type the message that shows the message you're quoting. You can edit it to show what you're responding to, like I've done here.
ACTUALLY, I've got some USM buddies that in the same program as me and we're planning on going to UCF/USM in October (I believe).
I'm a Buc fan through and through, and you wont find anyone more upset about the loss of ETSU football. But I realize by dropping it, we had to move out of the SoCon. Still want it back though! Love Bucs hoops and would like to get out to more baseball games.

B.S. Mass Communications - Broadcasting, ETSU Spring 2005
Hey everyone...haven't been able to post as much as I wish I had the time for but I am a current Campbell student studying Trust Managment for my undergrad and MBA. I'm entering my fourth year at CU and am looking forward to the upcoming basketball season. Also want to welcome all the new teams to the conference and say, thanks for the good times to those that are leaving. We may not have won many...or any games against you but it was still fun to watch.

New to the board, just wanted to introduce myself. Looking forward to the A-Sun basketball season. I live in Nashville and am a big fan of the Bruins and the Florida Gators
Welcome 'Bruin, it looks like your Bball team is poised to have a strong season. I know that we play you guys the first conference game of the season in Johnson City. Good luck.
I'm not a true ASunner, but will be a frequent visitor just because I've lived near Kennesaw State U since I moved here in high school & I've watched it grow & grow.

I actually have a BA in History from Wake Forest, so I'm an ACC fanatic through & through, but I'll enjoy posting with you folks over here too (if that's okay). :)
You're more than welcome, Lucy! Drop by anytime!

But could you stop being so mean to Charlie Brown.... what did he do to deserve all that??? 03-wink
Well I guess I'll introduce myself...
My name is Jeremy...
I went to Georgia Southern University from 2000-2003. Had a great time there, still miss it occasionally, but I had to move back home. I was tired of being broke. Anyway, now I'm attending Kennesaw State University where I'm going for a bachelors in music education. Since I declared my major last year I got a couple of more years to go...I'm on the 10 year plan. I still love Georgia Southern athletics, especially football. I was on the drumline there for 2 years and it was great. But now I'm really excited about KSU's move to D1. I'll probably be playing drumset for the pep band at the games so come say hi to me.
I am from the Midwest but have lived in central FL and currently live in Saint Augustine, FL. I have followed Stetson and UCF fairly closely over the past 5 years and currently get to see alot of UNF and JU games.

My feeling about the expansion from the Peach Belt teams will be fairly positive. I think as far as basketball, Kennesaw should be competitive right away if they maintain the same telent level. UNF is probably going to struggle for a few years. Their facilities are light years ahead of JU and Stetson so that should help recruiting and Matt Kilcullen is a pretty decent coach.

As far as baseball, Kennesaw and UNF will both be outstanding additions to the conference.

Also, if there are any ASun Vball fans, see UNF play if you get a chance. They are extremely exciting to watch and should be title contenders yearly. As a D-2 team last year, they beat the hell out of Conf Champion JU.

Looking forward to a fun year in the ASUN.....
Im a die hard Buc fan and am currently in school at ETSU getting my biology degree. I dont know jack about the A-Sun but i cant wait to see what kind of competition there is down here. The best thing Ive seen so far about it is that we get the tourney here in JC but I hope it didnt tick off any of our soon to be rivals.
hey folks

New to the board this morning. Will be looking forward to sitting in this basketball season. Welcome new teams! I am familiar with ETSU ( wife attended moons ago) and they will be a force this BB season. I predict that they will certainly be in the top three this season.

I am a huge fan of CU basketball and very close to the team because of family connections. They have taken their lumps the past couple of years that I have tuned in, however I think they may make some noise this year.

I am also a big Virginia fan and follow the ACC.
