It looks as if Hamin Quaintance is no longer a member of the Jacksonville basketball team. He is no longer listed on their roster. If he is gone, that will make things tougher on the 'fins. Also change up a little on the ASUN pickem. Also, JU announced their schedule, they open with FSU at home. Trips to Florida and Georgia Tech highlight their schedule.
Interesting....thanks for the info, BB!
JU will have Jarrett Jack's (GaTech) younger brother. Also, former Stetson coach Dan Hipsher's son.
Is this the "Q" that everyone said is so talented? Does anybody know what happened? Academic eligibility issues? Did he transfer. That's good news for us, I suppose, but obviously bad for JU. Was he the main weapon on JU's team?
Thanks for the update.
If that's true, its a shocker. I haven't seen anything about his dismissal in the local paper. There was an article yesterday about the release of their schedule and it didnt mention anything about it.
It will be a LONG season for JU without him.

I was just told that the HS player that we had originally lost to UT ended up with us this year anyway. I see just a huge year for the Bruins and a couple of big road wins against those big conference teams is realistic. It seems to me that if Boomer comes in and plays to his hype that it could be a dream season for Coach Byrd. GO BRUINS
Even though this makes it easier to beat JU if Q is not there, the guy was just fun to watch. He will be missed if he's gone.
Interesting. Looksl ike they only have 9 scholarship players too (maybe less?) I think he would have transferred somewhere, I was surprised that JU got him in the first place. This definitely will change my asun pickems. I had him winning some games by himself.
OK...Now its official about Q
<a href='http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/082705/spj_19609257.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stor..._19609257.shtml</a>
Please mark this date down as the day North Florida moves ahead of JU forever as an athletic department.
Without Q on that roster, perhaps the Dolphins should consider dropping down to Division II.
"Q ....if you're reading this, UNF is only 10 miles south."

Bobby Kennen, JU's assistant coach for the past 5 years, has just joined Campbell's staff. Maybe he can lure Q to the Creek!!
RedRam, the guy Belmont got is Matthew Dotson, a 6-8 215 freshman from Hickman county. Here is his bio:

Belmont will add some size to go along with the treys. Should be exciting for the Bruins.
Call the foul, ref!!!
Not likely, he would have to sit out 2 years as an in conference transfer.
