Personally, I like it. Although there have been some great Mountain West teams come through here, it's hard for them to travel (besides Idaho last year, that was impressive). I'd like to see the LB pack the house and become a big-time bowl. It justs brings more exciting things to memphis. I believe it will be a bigger bowl than the Independence and of course the Motor City Bowl. If a team like Alabama or Georgia ended up there, you can bet it would be sold out.

The reason was the smack talk you were doing on the main forum at a time that Rebel fans were on a VERY short leash.
It isn't a differing opinion that we don't tolerate it's the smack talking on our main forum here. At the time you were banned I had a stickied post at the top of the forum warning all Rebel fans of the short leash you guys were on.
I hate to "blanket" an individual fanbase but due to problems we've had with Rebel fans on various Tiger forums in the past, you guys are on the shortest leash of all fans that visit.

rebel--I dunno, UGA was here against Arkansas a few years back, and it wasn't exactly a full house. The problem with this whole scenario to me is we are doomed to Miss, Miss State, Vandy, or Kentucky. If UGA, Florida, Tn, or the real powers of the SEc get a LB invite, they are not gonna be too happy.

in all seriousness though, teams like florida, georgia, tennessee, auburn, and alabama will not be good every single year. every team has off years...rebuilding years...a bowl is a bowl. if you are fortunate enough to go to a bowl during a rebuilding year, you shouldn't be complaining (no matter which bowl it is). teams in the upper teir of the SEC travel well. they will travel to memphis, especially when the liberty bowl pays out that much money.
some years you will have teams like Old Misstake, state, arkansas, vandy, and kentucky. big deal. these will be great games because both our conferences consist of schools that are very close to each other. i guareentee that any of these teams would travel better than a mountain west team.
that's what we need. to sell the bowl out. make it a bowl teams want to go to.
