Most of you know my brother is in the 101st Airborne Assault Army Unit - 506th Battalion (band of brothers) currently located in Ramadi, Iraq.

You won't hear these kinds of reports on any of the news outlets, so I thought I would share with you the results of a recent battle they conducted. They prepared for 8 hours and engaged the enemy in a 25 hour firefight...

[i]Hey

How are you? I'm not to bad just got back from a mission and nothing really happened. Someone threw a grenade at priddy's truck but it didn't blow up all he heard was a ting.

Everyone here is doing alright, just ready to leave this place and go somewhere more safe. That last battalion mission we did the statics came back and we killed 152 insurgents, and wounded like 40 or something. And we had no casualties just three Iraqi Army injured. So we really kicked their ***. I think we got the message across to them that we are not a national guard unit, we are trained killers and that's what we all get paid for.

But just between y'all an me, i was scared as sh!t cause they really threw down for like two days. They didn't hold back at all they gave it all they had, but of course it wasn't good enough cause we just laid waste to them.

Well again, i cant wait to come home and see all of you. I'm so damn excited.

Take care and ill talk to you later

I think this pretty much is what we all know and the papers report except that the Iraqi's were somewhat competant. That IS a good sign.

"That last battalion mission we did the statics came back and we killed 152 insurgents, and wounded like 40 or something."

Sounds to me like they are going in circles. They clear a place out. They leave. Insurgents come back. We go back in again. This is why so many say WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TROOPS. We needed to go in once secure the town and leave some troops to keep it safe. But guess what, that isn't what Rummy thought. This is why so many have retired. They told his sorry *** that they need more but he wouldn't listen. Fire Rummy now!

P.S. Ask him if they have found the WMD's yet. I am still waiting to hear. Afterall, Rummy knew EXACTLY where they were. lmfao

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me niufan99, hope your brother stays safe and comes home safe.

Robert,

If that battle had been a football game, the score would have been 152-0. I don't know how you can call that "running in circles". That's 152 Arabs with guns that WON'T be back on the battlefield killing American troops or innocent Iraqi civilians.

As for your assessment about the number of troops, the problem is, if we had twice as many troops over there, liberals like you would be complaining that we were an "occupying force" over there - too heavy handed, doing the work of the Iraqi's for them etc.

You can't win with liberals. To you, the enemy is the Bush administration - not radical, militant Islam. You won't be happy until our troops come home in discrace so you can say, "I told you so". Not this time. Despite the American liberal media's attempts to dishearten us, we are there to WIN. And WIN we will do.
I am sure our government is very happy when we have wins like this but if the media were to report that we are killing 150 or more bad guys a week, it can backfire. I hope are military just keeps doing their job. Americans have realize we are in a life long battle agianst people who want to KILL us. It will not be easy. Sticking your head in the sand and hoping it goes away is not an option. My heartfelt thanks goes to all the soldiers risking their lives to protect the american way. I for one will always be behind them 100%. By them doing their jobs, and well I might add, I was able to enjoy watching my three kids play soccer and not have to worry about their lives. Kedz I am proud of your brother and others like him. Tell him to keep up the good work. 02-13-banana 02-13-banana

Your thankfulness and praise of our troops is appreciated and makes a big difference. So does prayer. There are scores of people praying for my brothers safety - people he doesn't even know.

My consistent prayer (several times a day) is that the Lord would protect him from the bombs bullets and schrapnel in a supernatural way and bring him home injury-free.

Jason has had nearly a dozen "close scrapes" where he has escaped significant injury or death. There are a few where he does not understand how he survived - much less escaped without injury. He was blown up twice by roadside bombs while patrolling in his Humvee. It killed the Humvee, but not the troops inside of it. If not for the substantial underarmorment, he'd be dead.

Thanks again for your support.

Actually, I thought we had 2400+? Do those soldiers that were killed not count?

I imagine some would but we should have done what needed to be done in the first place and not worry about what "liberals" think. We are going to the same ******* towns over and over to take out the "insurgents" because we don't have the troops to keep the peace. I am sorry you can't understand "complex" ( lmfao ) issues such as this.

The Neo-Con position kill, kill and kill some more. Yep. That is the way to solve all our problems. I am sure your mouth was watering when it was mentioned that we were going to nuke Iran. The bloodier the better. The more prople the better. Kill, kill, kill and kill some more. **** why not ******* nuke the whole ******* world. Then you and our ******* "President" can get what you want. Jesus!

Good post... Thanks to your brother that is serving this country and thanks for sharing an eyewitness account to LIVE and ACTUAL experiences as they happen in that war.

We will win the battles and your story reflects that the victories are ours. Our military can not be beaten by any force on the field of battle.

The only force that can stop us is self doubt. Those ideas that do not have the will to win. Our biggest enemy today as a country is the same one we have always had to fight and that it is our WILL. We are in a great and serious war that has been brought to our shores and many people refuse to reconize that and many of those who do reconize the battle don't have the will to win.

Our country has been involved in many wars and there has never been a time when there was no doubters, those who did not want to take stand at that point in time and that includes the Civil war and WWII. Victory can only be obtained by those with a passion for peace and a will to win, not by a passivness that "hopes' the problem goes away and we'll deal with it tomorow. Our tomorrow is here today.

Again Kedz, Thank you to your brother and to the thousands of young men and women who are sacrificing for this country,GOD bless them all.
Kedz... give your brother a THANKS from me also!
I'm glad we have REAL American's out there fighting for us and not the "roll over and play dead" people like RoberN.... whoever the Fcuk that guy is.

Gee thanks. I am not an American. Original. I thank them too, if I didn't could I oppose this war? No. I also want them home, in Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia(if you have a death wish) where the real terrorists were.

Also, could you at least please say who he is REALLY fighting for. Three quickly come to mind(though I am sure there are more). They are Isreal, oil companies and Halliburton. You can add more if you would like.

Could someone move this thread to the spin room. Kedz purposly does this crap to divide us and so he can get anyone who disagrees with the war to speak out so he can call them a commie or traitor or unamerican. Kedz, I hope your brother stays safe and comes home alive but knock this crap off ok?
