I am tallying up information to get a better idea of which MAC football programs have the best student sections. Feel free to post your comments below as any info is greatly appreciated.

from my experience back in 00-02, the football student section wasn't that great. but you know we were having a bit of a problem winning games during that time.
now The Nest in basketball has it going on, if only they could transfer it over to football.
The student section tonight was awesome. They turned out in good numbers and were really into the game. Also, those who came early stood in a pouring rain for more than an hour. The rain stopped just before the game began. Also, most of the student crowd stayed for the entire game, something we haven't seen here a lot lately. Look for the Ball State student section to be one of the MAC's best this football season.
Ball State had a record student turnout of more than 7,000 for the Indiana game Saturday night. They not only were the largest student crowd ever, but the loudest. It was truly exceptional.
Too bad ur student section was MIA against the Huskies and completely classless at halftime by swearing at our FG kicker.

Yeah, classless. Becuase that stuff just doesn't happen anywhere but Muncie. Give me a break.

Yeah, a handful of drunken idiots = the whole student section.
Trust me, kid, you SO don't want to go here.
I could easily recite the positively vulgar things that the NIU students were saying to BSU players' *parents* on our last three trips to Dekalb, but this is a family website. "I hope you all die on the way home," was about the most pleasant of salutations from NIU students on my last visit to Huskie Stadium.
Check out your own board. Even NIU fans have noted that Huskie fans have *zero* room to gripe on this count, given your students' behavior in Dekalb over the past four years...
