I saw the list in our paper, too. I know Brown was a player. Can someone here tell the rest of us if any of the others were key pieces or just hangers on?

To tell you the truth all these guys were supposed to be guys who would contribute this year. If i had to sum it up they have done little on the field but were sold to us as teh real deal.
"Fulmore played in all 11 games as a second-year junior and Reese started in four games as a third-year sophomore. Holley, Braker, McNaulty and Fatherly didn't play last year."
Temple is going to be in big trouble at corner....

This could only happen at Temple. If we didn't have bad luck, believe me we wouldn't have any luck at all!!!! I always look forward to a new football season. Not this year we are going to get killed and I really wonder if we will win a game. Not fair to these young men who came to Temple to play football with good intend. Only to get the shaft from our Administration. Three things need to happen for Temple to be successful. New coach who knows how to recruit and be able to coach on game day. New AD that can put together a schedule that we can be successful and win a few games. This schedule was put together for the money only and not taking into consideration our players. And finally a new President. We need someone that will support Division I sports. Our present President does not care for sports and his game plan is to drop sports especially football. He was successful at Wayne State. I hope that Temple does the right thing for all involved!!

IF BW knew these guys were not going to play and practiced with them anyways he should be fired before the plane to arizona. Someone should be fired over this, someone in the student services and compliance office needs to go at the bare minimum. The second summer session ended August 16th! Someone had to know these guys were in trouble long before practice began. Is no one getting these guys grades as the session progressed? IS that not their jobs? These guys should have been locked in a room with tutors up the wazooo studying and practice should have been an after thought.
This is a black eye that has made this program blind. I will be shocked if they win more then 1 game and thats even a stretch. Sending these guys to these body bag games is a sin.
I do think the president and AD have been doing fair jobs. The AD surely has some very hard questions to answer. The AD needs to send out an email or have press release drawn up explaining how 5 starters three days before the opening of the season can be declared inellgible.
I think the future looked better, and was able to stomach another losing season of support for the overall good of the program, but no one is going to sign with Temple if sh** like this keeps happening. Chalk this up to a failed experiment with JUCO players? Garbage..........

i agree with you about everything but the JUCO experiment. There was no experiment, it was a necessity. Temple with the possibility of dropping the program and with a president that is not for athletics, an Athletic director coming from a school with no football program andthe task force delaying our chances to get into the MAC.
Bobby had to recruit a ton of JC'S to fill in holes until we recieved a vote that we were going to have a program.
unfortunutely, all our Owls can do is hope to survive this year and hope we are able to recruit in the better in the future.
our next negative which should be handled by mid year is to say that we have to let go of Coach Wallace or give him another 4 your year contract so he can recruit. This again is a problem with or adsministration.
please let luck be on our side and upset ASU
i would have liked to be there but i work for a small company and one of us is already at the ASU Game.

I think keeping the ASU game close would be a boost. Boy, the deck is really stacked against Temple - long road trip, vs. highly ranked team, losing seven players just before the trip, coming off a tough year.
