Southern Miss needs a future football opponent as soon as 2008 and Jackson State appears willing to oblige - as long as there's plenty of money involved.

"We're talking about future games, yes," USM athletic director Richard Giannini said. "We're talking down the road. It could be 2008. It could be later. It could be more than one game."
